Meanwhile, revenue and income increased by 40%. <br /><br />Shareholders would be better off right now had they put the cash into higher dividends, then again, they raised their dividend 10%-20% per year over the same period. <br /><br />I predict Walmart will soon raise their dividend another 15%, and they just authorized another $15 billion buyback (enough to take out 7% of their shares at current prices). <br /><br />Eventually, if their operations stay strong and they fund the buybacks with cashflow from operations, the buybacks will result in a higher share price.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
