I plan to read more novels. I used to think they were a waste of time, but I've changed my mind about that. I now believe I can learn as much or more from a novel than I can from a non-fiction book. One such example is Hidden Colours by Nillu Nasser.
The setting is unique for an English novel: Germany, during a non-"World War". Refugees have been welcomed, but at the same time are cast aside. Tensions rise, fueling both nationalism and compassion, and therefore polarization.
The theme is outstanding, and the characters bring their cultural viewpoints to life.
If these topics interest you, I highly recommend the book.
