Some books can be shortened to the length of an article without losing anything. Seth Godin's The Dip: A Little Book That Teaches You When to Quit can probably be shortened to a sentence.
While it's only 80 pages, it basically just repeats the same idea page after page: quit if you can't be the best at something, but fight through adversity if you can be the best. The problem is, how do you know if you can actually be the best ahead of time? There is very little in the book to help with this question, which is why it was so disappointing.
