Thanks for writing about the books you read, Saj. I've read some of your recommendations, including half of those on this list, and now know that when you like a book, I'm very likely to like it too. Getting Things Done was an exception, as I didn't get much from that one. The Fish that Ate the Whale was terrific.
Thanks again.

Saj, some books I've recently read and liked are the Rational Optimist (Matt Ridley), the Better Angels of our Nature (Steven Pinker), 50 Great Myths of Popular Psychology (Scott Lilienfeld), the History of Western Philosophy (Bertrand Russell), Waking Up (Sam Harris), and Faith vs Fact (Jerry Coyne). If I had to chose just one of those to recommend, it would be the Rational Optimist.

I'm now reading Thomas Sowell's "Ever Wonder Why?", which is a collection of essays. They're not all great, but so far it's been well worth reading for the few outstanding ones.
