I'm not quite sure how to describe Galapagos: A Novel. It's weird and different, but that doesn't do the book justice, as it's also very clever and creative.
It touches on a lot of subjects: evolution, war, the environment, human nature, the list goes on. It's a thoughtful read that I do recommend.

Thanks Saj, I appreciate your recommendations and often order books on the spot if they interest me.
Recent reads I enjoyed: Feast of the Goat, Shantaram, The Fire Next Time, and a couple books by McEwan
Thanks, Brian. I'm a big fan of Feast and Shantaram, so I'll check out Fire Next Time.
